PRESS RELEASE
Stewarts Law, the award winning specialist litigation firm, today announces the appointment of Paul Brehony as a new Partner in its Commercial Litigation department. Paul joins Stewarts Law from PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal LLP.
Paul was formerly a Senior Solicitor at PwC Legal where he led their UK Commercial Litigation team. His experience also includes five years within SJ Berwin's Dispute Resolution Department, and five and a half years in the Commercial Litigation department at Simmons & Simmons, where he also trained and qualified.
Paul specialises in complex international and domestic commercial litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution often in a multi-jurisdictional context. His extensive litigation experience will further strengthen the Commercial Litigation Department headed up by Clive Zietman.
Paul Brehony's appointment underscores Stewarts Law's strategy to consolidate its position as the UK's leading specialist litigation law firm. His appointment follows another recent major hire that saw Jonathan Sinclair, former Head of Commercial litigation at Eversheds, join the firm.
Commenting, Paul Brehony said of his appointment:
"I am delighted to be joining this award winning firm, and to be able to contribute my litigation expertise. This is an exciting time to join Stewarts Law as the Commercial Litigation team is expanding rapidly and the firm is establishing itself at the forefront of the specialism."
Managing Partner John Cahill added:
"Our strategy for continued growth through top quality hires continues to come into fruition with the appointment of Paul. His experience in advising both corporates and individuals across a wide range of industry sectors, particularly focussing on fraud and professional negligence, further increases our strength and diversity, making Paul an invaluable addition to the team."
