Tom Doughty will be appearing on Radio 2

30 August 2005

Tom Doughty was disabled in a car accident in 1974. Despite his injuries he was determined to continue with his music and taught himself to play lap guitar developing a unique style. Tom has just released his second CD 'running free'.

Stewarts Law represented Tom further to a road traffic accident in 2002. Unfortunately the care he received in hospital was poor and resulted in permanent damage to his hip and left leg. At first the hospital argued that as Tom was disabled before the accident he should not receive compensation. Stewarts Law recognised that Tom's injuries had reduced his ability to transfer and compromised his independence. In recognition of the significant additional injury caused to Tom the Hospital made a substantial, out of court settlement shortly before trial.

Interview and tracks from the new CD 'Running Free' will be featured on the BBC Radio 2 Paul Jones Programme. Scheduled for 8th September, 2005 between 8 and 9pm. The Programme will also be available for the following week through the 'Listen Again' feature on the Internet.
