Aero Caribbean Flight 883

Stewarts Law have been retained by families of victims of the Aero Caribbean Flight 883 accident.
On 4 November 2010, An ATR 72-212 performing Aero Caribbean Flight 883, departed Port-au-Prince, Haiti destined for Havana José Martí International Airport (HAV), Cuba via Santiago-Antonio Maceo Airport (SCU), Cuba. The flight departed Santiago-Antonio Maceo Airport at 16:50 local time on the second sector of its journey. The aircraft was carrying 61 passengers and 7 crew. At 17:42, after issuing an emergency call, the aircraft crashed near the town of Guasimal in Sancti Spíritus province, approximately 340 km southeast from Havana. There were no survivors.
The ATR aircraft is well known to the technical team at Stewarts Law. Stewarts Law has previously investigated and assisted clients in relation to several other ATR accidents including the Santa Barbara ATR-42-300 Flight 518 controlled impact with terrain in Venezuela in 2008, and the American Eagle ATR 72-212 Flight 4184 crash caused by icing in 1994.
