Celebrations to mark Chrissie Johnson's 21st Birthday
06 May 2011
In October 2010, Clare Salmon, Partner at Stewarts Law settled what was believed to be one of the largest personal injury awards in England. Chrissie Johnson when aged just 16 suffered a catastrophic brain injury in a road traffic collision in November 2006. After four years of litigation she was awarded £4 million lump sum payment and £300,000 to be paid each year for the rest of her life to fund her considerable care costs. Over her lifetime, the settlement is likely to be worth more than £17.5 million.
Clare Salmon and her paralegal Natalizia Trebisacce were more than pleased to be invited to join Chrissie's family and friends to celebrate this milestone for Chrissie at her 21st birthday party in Harlow, Essex.
Chrissie arrived in style to the party in a hired convertible blue Bentley, which is not only her favourite colour but also that of her favourite football team, Chelsea FC.
Following her mother's allegiance, Chrissie has been a lifelong fan of Chelsea, but since her accident had been unable to attend a match and it remained her dream to watch her beloved Chelsea, especially Frank Lampard, play again. Stewarts Law were therefore proud to be able to present Chrissie with tickets, kindly donated by Chelsea FC.
Chrissie, her mother and two carers will be attending Chelsea's final match of the season against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on 15 May 2011 for what could prove to be an exciting and pivotal match in the Premier League title race with Chelsea hoping to retain the trophy.
Everyone at Stewarts Law wishes Chrissie all the best and here's to an enjoyable game!
