Clive Zietman comments in the FT on US-style class action lawsuits coming into force in UK

Clive Zietman, Head of the Commercial Litigation Department has commented in the Financial Times regarding the US-style class action lawsuits due to come into force as of 1st October as part of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Clive comments "It's an interesting step towards the US class action system -- but here is still very different because of the cost consequences of losing a case".

Clive Zietman is Head of the Commercial Litigation Department. He is well known for his banking, fraud and professional negligence work. He has a City background and worked for Herbert Smith within its commercial litigation department. Thereafter he founded his own specialist litigation practice before becoming Head of the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Group at Manches LLP. Clive has been involved in many high profile cases. He acted in the Guinness and Maxwell litigation. He is described by the Legal 500 as having "a tremendous reputation". The Lawyer describes him as a lawyer with a track record of taking claims against banks.
