Expertise

Robert has extensive experience of cases involving high level spinal cord injury, brain injury, cauda equina, oncology, infection and amputees. He has settled claims with values from £500,000 to £15 million.

Robert has undertaken cases for clients in Cyprus based internationally in countries including Ibiza, Ireland, Canada and Sri Lanka.

Experience

Robert acted for the claimant in one of the leading cauda equina cases, Oakes v Neininger [2008] EWHC 548 (QB). This remains a particular interest, with substantial awards obtained for clients with cauda equina subsequently.

Robert has also taken a number of cases to trial or hearing which have made new law with respect to medical records (Daniel Failes v Oxford University NHS Trust) and admissibility of surveillance (Wilcox v Kings College Hospital NHS Trust).

Personal

Robert is a keen yachtsman and has competed in the Rolex Fastnet; now largely retired from racing he enjoys, cruising with family. He has a passion for motorbikes and has a dismantled Honda he is attempting to restore.
