Specialisations

Sam specialises in all aspects of divorce and private family law (including the negotiation of pre and post nuptial agreements) with a particular emphasis on the resolution of complex financial issues for high net worth individuals, whether married or unmarried. A significant number of his cases involve trusts (including offshore), commercial and tax issues, family businesses, inherited wealth, international aspects and the tracing of assets.

He also advises on disputes relating to children, including contact, paternity, residence and financial provision.

Sam was nominated for 'Family Lawyer of the Year' in the prestigious Spear's Wealth Young Turk Awards 2012 and was also shortlisted in Citywealth's 2012 Magic Circle Awards, which brings together the elite advisors in the wealth industry. He was also included in Spear's Legal Rising Stars Index 2012 which recognises talented lawyers based in London who are aged 35 or under.

He is a presenter for legal publisher Lexis Nexis on Family Law topics and comments regularly on developments in family law.

Career

Sam trained at a Central London Firm in 2001, qualifying in 2003. He joined Stewarts Law in 2007.
