Stewarts Law continues to expand its employment team

Stewarts Law, the leading specialist litigation firm, today announces the appointment of Arpita Dutt as a Partner in its Employment department. Prior to joining Stewarts Law, Arpita was a Partner in the Employment department at Russell Jones & Walker, having led a team of employment lawyers and with over 12 years experience in employment law.

The arrival of Arpita sees Stewarts Law expand its highly regarded Employment department. Her appointment follows that of Tim Spillane from Simmons & Simmons, Ruth Badrick from Berwin Leighton Paisner, Alistair French (formerly of Travers Smith) and Lauren Sullivan from Slaughter and May. The team is led by Gareth Brahams, previously of Lewis Silkin, who joined the firm as Head of the Employment department in May 2010.

Arpita is an acknowledged discrimination and whistle blowing expert and is one of a handful of employment lawyers listed in the Lawyer's Hot 100 for 2011 as "one to watch". She is renowned for her work on behalf of professionals such as lawyers and doctors and advises senior executives in professional services and financial services organisations as well as senior private and public sector employees in all areas of employment law.
