Guests from across the Yorkshire business and legal community gathered in Leeds on Thursday (10 March) at a special event celebrating one of Yorkshire's greatest artistic sons.

More than 90 invitees attended a private viewing of the new Henry Moore exhibition at Leeds Art Gallery hosted by exhibition sponsor Stewarts Law.

The exhibition is the first dedicated to the life and work of sculptor Moore, who was born in Castleford, to be held in Leeds. It arrives in the city following stints at the Tate Britain in London and in Toronto, Canada.

Daniel Herman, head of Stewarts Law in Leeds, said: "Hosting such a major international exhibition is a huge boon for Leeds, all the more so given Henry Moore's local roots. We are delighted to be able to lend our support.

"Hopefully the exhibition will prove to be a major draw in attracting visitors to the city over its three-month course and I'd be very happy if we could work with Leeds Art Gallery on similar projects in the future."

Stewarts Law is a specialist litigation practice which opened its Leeds office in 2004. It currently conducts litigation in five areas in Leeds: antitrust, clinical negligence, commercial litigation, divorce and personal injury. The firm was named Niche Firm of the Year at the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards 2010.

The Henry Moore Exhibition will be showing at Leeds Art Gallery until 12 June 2011. Entrance is free.
