Georgina has gained a range of experience throughout her training contract, having enjoyed seats in the Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Divorce and Family departments.

Georgina is now spending the last six months of her training contract with the Trust and Probate team, assisting on various estate disputes and trust-related claims.

 

Career

Georgina studied Law followed by an International Law Masters at Newcastle University. Upon graduating from her LPC, she worked as a serious injury paralegal at Irwin Mitchell before joining Stewarts’ personal injury team in November 2019.

Georgina commenced her training contract in October 2021.

Since joining the firm, Georgina has contributed to Stewarts’ progress and commitment to LGBT+ inclusion through the LGBT+ Focus Group.

Experience

Personal Injury

As both a paralegal and a trainee, Georgina worked on a number of catastrophic spinal cord and brain injury claims and assisted on multiple multimillion-pound settlements for claims resulting from road traffic accidents and accidents at work.

Clinical Negligence

As a trainee in the clinical negligence department, Georgina worked on various sports injury cases, involving footballers and other sports professionals who have suffered a serious or career-ending injury as a result of negligence. In addition, Georgina assisted on complex spinal cord injury cases and birth injury cases.

Divorce and Family

During her time with the Divorce and Family team, Georgina obtained a range of experience in high value financial cases and private children matters, including highly contested disputes regarding child arrangements.

 

Personal

Georgina loves to travel, having grown up in Spain from the age of six. She also enjoys cooking and is often found hosting dinner parties for her friends and family.
