Karen has always been regarded by senior management as an expert on the Civil Procedure Rules responsible for current awareness initiatives and the creation and delivery of training programmes.

Most recently, she wrote a practice note on court deadlines impacted by COVID-19. She also coordinated a global guide from across 32 different jurisdictions on force majeure and its alternatives.

Throughout her career as a knowledge lawyer, she maintained a fee earning practice in finance litigation.

Prior to joining Stewarts, Karen worked as a knowledge lawyer at Dentons and also DLA Piper. She has also worked for RBS and Lloyds.

In her spare time, Karen writes and recently obtained a Masters in Creative Writing from Birkbeck University being awarded a Distinction.
