The 2016 Limbpower Games took place on 21 and 22 May at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.
This annual weekend of sports and socializing is aimed at new amputees and individuals with limb impairment. It is a unique opportunity to participate in 10 different Paralympic sports in a controlled and relaxed environment.
Stewarts were proud to be involved as sponsors of the event this year, and a team of solicitors and paralegals were in attendance across the weekend to get involved with sports ranging from archery, sit down volleyball, wheelchair rugby and hand cycling.
Lance Corporal Corie Mapp, a member of the Paralympic World Cup Bobsleigh and sitting volleyball teams was on hand throughout the day to coach attendees.
Limb Power was launched in November 2009 to engage amputees and individuals with limb impairments in physical activity, sport and the arts to improve quality of life and to aid lifelong rehabilitation. To find out more about the work Limbpower do please visit their website.
