We are pleased to announce that Stewarts has teamed up with Brake, the road safety charity, to support the charity’s work caring for bereaved and injured road crash victims and campaigning for safe roads for all.

August is National Road Victim Month, marking the anniversary of Britain’s first road death on 17 August 1896. Organisations including Brake use this opportunity to campaign and raise awareness of the impact of road traffic collisions and the importance of prevention.

Partner Anjali Krishnan comments: “At Stewarts, we see first-hand the devastating impact road collisions have on individuals and families. Partnering with Brake is a natural extension of our commitment to supporting those affected by serious injury and bereavement. We hope to do our part in making a meaningful difference.”

Stewarts supports Brake’s vision of a world free from road deaths and injuries, where all those affected and their families receive the care they need. Our support includes active participation in Brake’s initiatives, including Road Safety Week, and working alongside them throughout the year to promote road safety and raise public awareness of these crucial issues.

Ross Morlock, CEO at Brake, comments: “We’d like to thank Stewarts for joining Brake as an Associated Supporter and championing the work we do to campaign for safer streets and help families when the worst happens.”

About Brake

Brake is a national road safety charity, founded in 1995, that exists to stop deaths, serious injuries and pollution on roads, and to care for families bereaved and injured in road crashes. Brake campaigns for safe and healthy roads through seeking government policies and investment to end the carnage, and through projects that help communities, schools and employers promote safe and pollution-free streets locally.

Brake is the national provider of care and support to victims of road crashes and their families through the National Road Victim Service, helping families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK.

Each day in the UK, five people are killed on UK roads and 84 people sustain serious injuries (on average). Stewarts’ support for Brake is part of the firm’s commitment to work to reduce the shocking frequency of life-changing collisions.
