Dan advises on all aspects of trust and succession disputes. He acts for beneficiaries, executors, trustees, and administrators in a broad range of contentious matters.

Drawing on his previous experience in complex, high value fraud litigation, Dan brings particular insight to cases involving allegations of dishonesty, asset dissipation, and concealment of property.

Dan has also gained international experience through completing a secondment in Hong Kong and has recently been involved in cases in the United States, Monaco, and the Cayman Islands.

Experience

  • Acting for the widow of the deceased in a £1bn+ multi-jurisdictional inheritance dispute involving complex domicile, succession and testamentary intention issues.
  • Advising a beneficiary in relation to the administration of a trust and a potential dispute with the trustee and other beneficiaries.
  • Acting for an ultra-high-net-worth individual in a high-profile property fraud dispute involving a worldwide freezing order, passport delivery-up order, and allegations of misappropriation of rental income.
  • Acting for victims of a cryptocurrency fraud involving the misappropriation of life savings, liaising with the police and tracing assets.

Career

Dan joined Stewarts in January 2026. Prior to this, he trained and qualified at Mishcon de Reya, gaining experience in private wealth disputes and fraud investigations. He also spent time on secondment at Karas So LLP in Hong Kong.

Personal

Dan is very involved in the Jewish community and is the founder of  Young Social Entrepreneurs, a social entrepreneurship programme for students in school.
