Sarah Stewart is a Partner at Stewarts and is representing the majority of the families bereaved by the Shoreham air crash in August 2015. Today she issued the following statement on behalf of the families she is representing:

“The families are disappointed at the announcement from the AAIB not to reopen the investigation into the Shoreham Airshow Disaster.

The families acknowledge that there has already been a thorough investigation into the incident by the AAIB, but they believe that further investigation into Cognitive Impairment is warranted and would assist the Coroner in her inquiry into how their loved ones lost their lives in this incident.

The families are still determined to play a full part in the inquest process to ensure that all necessary regulatory changes are identified and enforced.”
