Claudia has a diverse background across a variety of industries, ranging from aviation to life sciences and financial services. Claudia’s work includes litigation related to political risk, business interruption, cyber risk, product liability, and professional indemnity.

In addition, Claudia has experience in professional negligence disputes, having undertaken two secondments within the London insurance market to the litigation team of a leading global insurance broker and to the legal team of a leading global reinsurance broker.

Experience

  • Represented AerCap in relation to losses of $3.5bn arising out of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
  • Represented the FCA in relation to its business interruption test (FCA v Arch & Ors.)
  • Advised a US pharmaceutical company in relation to losses arising out of the opioid crisis
  • Represented an international company in relation to losses of $40m arising out of the Taliban’s occupation of Afghanistan

Career

Claudia trained at Herbert Smith Freehills, where she qualified into the insurance litigation team. Claudia studied French & Italian at University College London prior to completing the GDL and LPC.

Personal

Claudia enjoys being outdoors with particular interests in diving and sailing. On rainier days, Claudia can usually be found reading or cooking for friends.
