Kate’s expertise spans a broad range of sectors, acting for a variety of clients including national and international corporates, sovereign wealth funds, and high net worth individuals. She has acted on an array of commercial disputes in both the High Court and Court of Appeal including claims involving fraud, shareholder disputes, injunctive relief, and breach of contract.
Experience
Cases on which Kate has acted include:
- acting for a large public institution in fraud claims exceeding $1bn against over 40 defendants based around the globe;
- representing various high net worth individuals in derivative actions and unfair prejudice petitions;
- representing a US-based corporate in an application to discharge an interim injunction obtained in the English High Court;
- follow-on cartel damages litigation for breaches of EU Competition law, including in relation to cartels concerning CRTs and LCDs.
Recognition
Kate was shortlisted as a Dispute Resolution ‘Rising Star of the Year’ in the Legal 500 2024 Northern Powerhouse Awards.
Career
Kate joined Stewarts in 2015 and completed her training contract with the firm, qualifying in 2018. Kate has worked in both our London and Leeds offices.

In her free time, Kate enjoys travelling, exercise and trying new things. Kate is generally also the designated planner of said things (as can probably be said for many in the legal profession), a role she does not technically enjoy but would also be reluctant to let anyone else do.
