Experience
- Acting for 112 financial institutions in a £487m claim under s90A FSMA against Tesco in respect of its accounting misstatements.
- Acting for the investment authority of Ras Al Khaimah (RAKIA) in a claim against a businessman for fraudulent misrepresentation, conspiracy and breach of contract and defending allegations of hacking and abuse of process.
- Acting on a multimillion pound claim against a FTSE 100 financial services provider in connection with breaches of contract and confidence.
- Acting for major retailers in multimillion pound claims against MasterCard arising from alleged breaches of EU and domestic competition law in relation to interchange fees.
- Acting for a group of institutional investors in a securities action brought against Petrofac.
- Acting for a group of institutional investors in a s.90 FSMA claim against a multinational commodity trading and mining company.
Career
Rachel studied Law at the University of Nottingham, after which she joined Stewarts as a paralegal in the Commercial Litigation department before completing her training contract at the firm.
