Taronish specialises in restructuring and insolvency, corporate and commercial law and arbitration. He has represented a variety of clients including multinational companies in sectors such as construction, pharmaceuticals, technology, and finance, as well as high-net-worth individuals and family offices. He has also advised and acted both for and against insolvency practitioners.

Experience

  • Representing the respondent in an ICC arbitration claim for more than US$500m in the context of a wider cross-border insolvency.
  • Advising a prospective buyer on litigation risks arising from the potential purchase of an Indian steel manufacturer, with UK SFO investigations ongoing in the seller’s group structure.
  • Advising a liquidator in relation to a company subject to purported wrongful dealing by the company’s former/shadow directors and former law firm.
  • Acted for a crucial stakeholder in the UAE’s largest restructuring.
  • Advised a Middle-East government-owned entity on claims and enforcement procedures against it.

Career

Taronish joined Stewarts in September 2024. He previously worked in the corporate team of an international law firm headquartered in Dubai.

Taronish completed the LLB and a master’s degree in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, USA, having successfully transitioned from engineering to pursue his legal career.
