Tim is an expert in contentious insolvency litigation encompassing director misfeasance, antecedent transactions and enforcement of office-holders’ investigatory powers leading to asset recoveries for creditors.

- Acting for a liquidator in bringing proceedings against a director of a company which engaged in a multimillion pound gold bullion tax avoidance scheme
- Acting for a trustee in bankruptcy to recover assets of a bankrupt who defrauded lenders of millions of pounds through fictional property valuations
Tim did his training contract at Thomson Snell and Passmore before moving to BDB Pitmans as an assistant solicitor in 2002. He joined PDT Solicitors as a partner and Head of Contentious Insolvency in 2005 before moving to DMH Stallard in 2013 to become a partner and Head of the Restructuring and Insolvency Group. Tim joined Stewarts in September 2020.

Tim and his partner have two beautiful daughters, aged 7 and 10. He enjoys keeping fit and flying – he has a private pilot’s licence.
