Jack has acted on a variety of commercial disputes including minority shareholder actions, group litigation claims, contractual matters and professional negligence claims. He also has experience of funded litigation acting for both corporate and individual clients.
Experience
Jack has assisted on a broad range of complex commercial disputes. Recent cases on which Jack has advised include:
- representing a group of 40 individuals and two SIPP trustees, with over 150 underlying investors, in a breach of trust claim against an offshore corporate trustee
- advising the respondents to an unfair prejudice petition regarding an English company holding shares in a major Russian insurer
- advising the liquidator of a Swiss company in defence of a 17-party claim alleging misappropriation of over €10m
- advising a high net worth individual in relation to an application for Norwich Pharmacal relief
Career
Jack joined Stewarts in July 2021. He trained at Forsters LLP and qualified into their Dispute Resolution team in September 2019.
Before becoming a solicitor, Jack completed an undergraduate degree in history at Trinity College, University of Cambridge. He subsequently obtained his Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the University of Law.
Personal
Jack enjoys being active and particularly playing golf, cricket and tennis when the sun is shining. He also enjoys exploring galleries and reading historical fiction.
