Peter Neenan, a partner in our Aviation team, has written the UK chapter of Lexology’s Getting the Deal Through guide to drone regulation.
Drone regulation is a new topic for the guide and has been added following an increase in the regulation of drones. The guide gives an overview of the regulations contained in the Air Navigation Order (SI 2016/765) and the UK Government’s Civilian Drones Briefing Paper dated 11 February 2019.
As well as giving a general overview of the regulations relating to drones, the guide goes into detail on design and manufacture, registration and identification, certification and licensing, operations and maintenance, airspace, liability and accidents. It also examines ancillary considerations and recent trends in this area.
Lexology Getting the Deal Through provides legal guides for 112 specialist practice areas, covering 150 jurisdictions. Through the platform, you can directly compare law and regulation between jurisdictions and create tailored reports.
The book is available in print, and as an e-book and online. The UK chapter by our team can be downloaded here: Drone Regulation UK – Lexology Getting the Deal Through.
