Congratulations to our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams in Leeds, who took home the prize for their category in the 2023 Yorkshire Legal Awards. The ceremony was hosted by presenter Helen Skelton and held on 5 October at New Dock Hall in Leeds.

Divorce and Family senior associate Jenny Bowden was also shortlisted for the Rising Star of the Year award across all practice areas.

Launched in 2000, the awards bring together the region’s legal community to recognise and celebrate its many achievements. The categories cover everyone from the biggest corporate firms to leading barristers, from senior partners to rising stars, and the event itself is a black-tie affair. The awards are judged by a prestigious independent panel made up of experts from across the Yorkshire legal community.

Philip Ogden-Lewis, President of the Yorkshire Legal Society, said: “The judges on the panel this year have had a virtually impossible task of selecting winners from the nominees, of whom there have been so many. Every firm or individual who was nominated and shortlisted should be exceptionally proud of themselves. I am proud of you. To be even nominated, let alone win, is an amazing achievement.”
