Whether you’re traveling abroad for medical treatment or receiving medical treatment whilst on holiday, there is a risk of things going wrong. How does a patient obtain legal advice in this situation, and how can they claim when the negligence took place in another country?

In this episode Victoria Williams, a Senior Associate in our Clinical Negligence team, spoke to Ian Denham of Outer Temple Chambers about cross border clinical negligence cases.

The discussion looked at:

  • what cross border clinical negligence cases are,
  • the law that applies, and
  • the key issues that need to be considered as early as possible.
