Virginia Jones has joined Stewarts to fulfil the newly created role of Head of Knowledge.

Virginia most recently spent 10 years at Lexis®PSL, where, since 2017, she had headed up the Dispute Resolution offering and team. Prior to that, Virginia trained as a commercial litigator at Pinsent Masons, and continued her commercial litigation practice at Marriott Harrison before the move to Lexis®PSL.

Virginia’s role will be focused on championing and facilitating organisation-wide knowledge sharing so that the firm’s know-how, information and experience is available to all of our lawyers to enhance our client service.

Virginia’s role has been created as a by-product of the firm’s growth.  Julian Chamberlayne, who previously undertook the role as part of a broader remit for the firm, will now focus on his firm-wide role as Risk and Funding Partner, as well as continuing as Head of Aviation and International Injury.

Julian Chamberlayne commented:

“I am really pleased to welcome Virginia to Stewarts, to lead our excellent knowledge team. This new role reflects the firm’s commitment to taking knowledge sharing and the development of our staff to the next level.”

Virginia Jones commented:

“I am delighted to be joining this firm, not only for its reputation and expertise, but because of the value it clearly places on strong know-how as well as ongoing learning and development.”

As part of her remit, Virginia will also be heading up the firm’s award winning Learning and Development team, who have received high praise from staff and were specifically mentioned by judges of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for.
