Expertise
Prior to commencing her training contract, Amy spent 3 years as a paralegal in the Divorce and Family department; during this time, and since she has qualified, she has worked across a broad range of family matters including pre-nuptial agreements, complex financial settlements, children arrangements, chattels disputes and Family Law Act matters.
Experience
- Collardeau-Fuchs v Fuchs [2022] EWFC 6 – Representing a HNW individual in highly contested children and financial proceedings involving a complicated factual matrix, interim applications and arguments as to the interpretation of a pre-nuptial agreement.
- Representing a wife in settlement discussions regarding near $1bn in assets largely held in private equity funds run by the husband.
- Successfully representing a parent seeking a shared care order, as well as orders in relation to schooling and change of the child’s name, following a psychological report on the behaviour of the other parent and the impact of that behaviour on the child.
Career
Amy graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2012 before going on to undertake the Bar Professional Training Course and seeking pupillage. After a brief period in legal publishing, she then moved to Stewarts’ Divorce and Family team as a paralegal in 2015 and commenced her training contract in 2018. She qualified into the team in September 2020.
