Dan advises on all aspects of trust and succession disputes. He acts for beneficiaries, executors, trustees, and administrators in a broad range of contentious matters.

Drawing on his previous experience in complex, high-value fraud litigation, Dan brings particular insight to cases involving allegations of dishonesty, asset dissipation and concealment of property. He also has experience of matters at the intersection of trusts, succession and family law, including disputes involving matrimonial property regimes, and the treatment of trust assets on relationship breakdown.

Dan has also gained international experience, having completed a secondment in Hong Kong, and has recently been involved in cases in Bermuda, Monaco, Jersey, and Hong Kong.

Experience

• Acting for the deceased’s widow in a multi-billion-pound, cross-border estate dispute involving allegations of fraud and raising issues of forced heirship, conflicts of law and matrimonial property regimes across multiple jurisdictions, including England, Monaco, Latvia, and Switzerland
• Acting for a beneficiary in a complex high-value dispute concerning the restructuring of offshore trusts holding assets worth more than £4 billion, alongside related English matrimonial proceedings
• Acting for beneficiaries in a high-value Gibraltar trust dispute concerning trustee removal, beneficiary succession rights and trust administration
• Acting for a charitable beneficiary in relation to an worth more than £100 million, advising on will construction and competing charitable claims
• Advising in a complex international trust and family governance dispute involving issues of domicile, succession and trust administration across England, Hong Kong, Jersey, and Guernsey
• Acting for an ultra-high-net-worth individual in a high-profile property fraud dispute involving a worldwide freezing order, a passport delivery-up order and allegations of misappropriation of rental income
• Acting for victims of a cryptocurrency fraud involving the misappropriation of life savings, liaising with law enforcement agencies and tracing assets.

Career

Dan joined Stewarts in January 2026. Prior to this, he trained and qualified at Mishcon de Reya, gaining experience in private wealth disputes and fraud investigations. He also spent time on secondment at Karas So LLP in Hong Kong.

Personal

Dan is very involved in the Jewish community and is the founder and a trustee of  Young Social Entrepreneurs, a social entrepreneurship programme for school students.
