For the last 25 years, Dan has only acted for clients with very serious injuries. Most of his clients sustained a spinal cord injury or a brain injury. Dan has been involved in more than 70 cases in which his client received compensation of £1m or more.

Dan’s focus is always on achieving the best outcome for clients, not just in relation to the ultimate compensation award at the end of the case, but also in terms of early access to rehabilitation and funding to purchase equipment, pay for care, buy and adapt accommodation, and generally ensure clients have the help they need to adjust to life after injury.

Since 2022 he has been Head of Personal Injury with responsibility for ensuring the service we provide to all the department’s clients – and the results we obtain for them – remains second to none.

Dan has long been regarded as a leader in the field of catastrophic injury:

  • “Dan Herman is an absolute titan in this field. Fights ferociously for his clients and has an extraordinary breadth and depth of experience. He is head and shoulders above the rest in the claimant PI market.” He is “highly knowledgeable”, “frighteningly intelligent” and “an all-round excellent litigator”. (Legal 500)
  • “He is the most experienced serious injury solicitor for spinal cord injury in the country. He has a mega brain and runs a great team. An utterly first class lawyer.” (Chambers UK)
