Since 1999, Daniel has only acted for clients with very serious injuries. Most of his clients have sustained a spinal cord injury or a brain injury.
He has particular expertise in cross-border cases: acting on behalf of British clients injured overseas or foreign nationals injured in the UK.
For more than 10 years, Chambers has ranked Daniel as the leading personal injury lawyer in Yorkshire. He is described as a “leader in his field” and “very bright, he’s got a great eye for detail and he’s got tremendous experience. He’s passionate about the litigation and also about looking after the clients throughout the process”.
Daniel was the first ever Association of Personal Injury Lawyer accredited spinal cord injury specialist solicitor.
Daniel has been involved in more than 50 cases in which the claimant received compensation in excess of £1m.
Daniel joined Stewarts in 2000. He has been a partner and head of the Leeds office since 2003.
