James assists partners in the Leeds Personal Injury department with high value claims brought on behalf of both adults and children, primarily those involving brain injury, spinal cord injury, and amputations.
James has experience of a variety of catastrophic accident claims, including those arising from accidents at work, road traffic accidents, and fatal accident claims.
Experience
Throughout James’ training at Stewarts, he has assisted on cases that have gone on to settle for seven-figure sums. Notably, James assisted on the case of JF, where Stewarts secured annual periodical payments of £1.1m, which is believed to be the largest periodical payment figure ever agreed in England and Wales.
Career
James studied Law at the University of Sheffield and then completed the LPC LLM at the University of Law. He joined Stewarts as a paralegal in the Leeds Clinical Negligence department in 2021. James qualified as a solicitor in October 2024.

Personal
James enjoys keeping fit and playing rugby when he has time. He loves travelling, most recently visiting the US, Mexico, and Indonesia. James enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and can often be found trying new restaurants in and around Leeds.
