Expertise

Jenny joined the Knowledge team as a paralegal in August 2023. During this time, Jenny supported the sharing of legal and procedural knowledge and best practice within the firm by helping to maintain the firm’s internal know-how database and drafting template documents, as well as assisting the firm’s lawyers with research tasks and responses to consultations.

While in this role, Jenny developed an expertise in alternative forms of funding, including third-party litigation funding, after-the-event insurance, conditional fee agreements and damages-based agreements. Jenny was a key member of the team drafting Stewarts’ response to the Civil Justice Council’s consultation on litigation funding: Stewarts responds to Civil Justice Council review of litigation funding – Stewarts.

Career

Prior to her legal studies, Jenny studied German at the University of Kent, where she also undertook a year abroad at Heidelberg University in Germany. Jenny completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course MSc in Law, Business, and Management at the University of Law, Bloomsbury.

Before joining Stewarts, Jenny worked as a legal advisor providing initial legal advice ranging from consumer and tort issues to criminal offences, as well as volunteering with an environmental conservation charity in South Wales.
