Mary qualified into the Commercial Litigation department in October 2022 on the conclusion of her training contract with the firm.

Mary has experience in a variety of complex, high value commercial disputes, including fraud cases, insolvency claims, professional negligence, shareholder disputes and group actions.

Experience

Mary has been involved in the following matters:

  • The Ingenious litigation acting for a large group of investors in claims arising out of their investments in film schemes promoted and operated by the Ingenious group of companies
  • The £1 billion Phones 4U litigation which concerns allegations of anti-competitive arrangements by mobile network operators
  • The Brake v Guy litigation in relation to a number of concurrent proceedings arising from a company acquisition and property transactions

Career

Mary started working at Stewarts in September 2019 as a paralegal in the firm’s Divorce and Family department before commencing her training contract in 2020. She completed seats in the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Tax Litigation and Resolution, Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, specifically, sports injury, departments.
