Matthew’s areas of experience include advising on a range of competition and commercial disputes involving breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation, rectification, financial mis-selling and breach of competition law. Matthew also has particular experience in litigation costs.

Experience

Matthew has extensive experience in commercial litigation but now predominately focusses on competition matters, including advising on follow-on and standalone damages claims, interventions in Competition Appeal Tribunal proceedings and cartel investigations. Matthew has advised clients involved in high value proceedings in the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Competition Appeal Tribunal.

Career

Matthew trained at Stewarts, qualifying in October 2010.

 

Personal

Matthew’s interests include cycling, swimming, squash, scuba-diving and the occasional triathlon. Outside of sport, Matthew’s interests include film, history, food and travel.
