Rafaella has worked previously on Stewarts’ internal business, monitoring legal, procedural, practical, industry and market-related updates to support the firm’s practice areas in delivering a service of the highest calibre to both individual and corporate clients. She has also assisted in the drafting of responses to government consultations on areas of law due for reform or enhancement.
Prior to joining Stewarts, Rafaella worked at a corporate consulting and mining investment company assisting the boards of LSE- and ASX-listed exploration and development companies in their corporate and legal affairs.
Rafaella has assisted on corporate and commercial litigation matters in the jurisdiction of Western Australia as well as England and Wales.
- Assisted with IPOs, dual listings, share buybacks and advice on related party transactions.*
- Assisted a claimant in discrediting an estoppel defence to a claim for unpaid royalties on iron ore production arising out of an offtake agreement.*
- Assisted with the draft of confidentiality agreements, stock transfer agreements, director service agreements, director indemnity agreements and subscription agreements.*
- Assisted with the review of contractual terms in shareholders’ agreements, director service agreements and earn-in agreements.*

Rafaella read Spanish and Italian at University College London before obtaining the Graduate Diploma in Law, the Legal Practice Course, and a Master of Laws with distinction. Prior to joining Stewarts, Rafaella worked in-house in the corporate mining sector.

In her spare time, Rafaella enjoys regularly staying active with high-intensity interval training and middle- to long-distance running. Of dual British and Peruvian heritage, and having lived in Lima, Peru and Rome, Italy, Rafaella is passionate about travel, culture, and cooking, and can often be found experimenting with family recipes.
