James Price, Geoff Kertesz, Emma Holland and Ellie Hampson-Jones all feature in this year’s Private Client Global Elite guide, compiled by ALM.

The Private Client Global Elite describes itself as “the list of the world’s elite lawyers advising UHNW clients”. Launched in 2017, it serves as a highly respected global directory of the world’s top private client and trust and estates litigation talent, as well as rising stars within the industry.

The final list of 650 experts, covering Elite Lawyers, Ones to Watch and Elite Recommends categories, was whittled down from over 6,000 submissions.

James Price, Head of Trust and Probate Litigation, is listed in the guide again in the 2021 edition for his work in dispute resolution, family business governance and other contentious trusts issues. He also discusses what’s in store for the next 12 months, including a 19-week remote trial in a jurisdiction with a 12-hour time difference. The full Q&A can be found here.

In his profile, he discusses highlights from the past 12 months, how he came to work in private client and his favourite quote, among other things. Geoff’s highlights include his move to Stewarts. He also gives his advice to rising stars or new lawyers in the private client world, saying: “As a private client adviser, you are a legal counsellor and quite often an emotional counsellor.”

Emma has had a strong year, having also been nominated for a Star Associate at the Chambers High Net Worth Awards recently.
