Soundbites is back with a bang! After a summer break, we were excited to host a fresh episode of Soundbites with fantastic guests, Katie Banks and Leon Clarkson of Rehabilitate Therapy.
Leon provides a personal, first-hand account of his experience living with and working alongside those affected by brain injury. He discusses his role at Rehabilitate and its evolution since the Covid-19 pandemic. Leon and Katie explore the importance of one-to-one peer support from the early stages of inpatient stays to years down the line in the rehabilitation process.
Leon and Katie offer a unique perspective based upon their experiences and we really hope you can join us for another snappy 15 minute session.
Watch the recording below:
Leon sustained a hypoxic brain injury from glandular fever in 2010 at the age of 28. He now works alongside Katie as a crucial part of Rehabilitate’s client community team to support those impacted by brain injury in dealing with difficult issues including loss of confidence, loneliness, adjustment, and poor self-esteem.Katie Banks
