Jenny is a divorce and family law partner with extensive experience in a wide range of high-value cases often involving complex financial and trust structures, with international and ‘non-marital’ wealth considerations. She has significant experience of Part III claims in which a party may seek to obtain financial provision in England & Wales after an overseas divorce.
In addition, she has expertise in drafting pre and post-nuptial agreements.
Jenny also specialises in children matters, such as contact arrangements and applications for leave permanently to remove children from this jurisdiction, as well as cases in which non-molestation and occupation orders are required.

Career
Jenny graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class degree in Social and Political Sciences before working in the Constitution Directorate at the Ministry of Justice. After completing her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course with distinctions, she trained at Manches LLP. Jenny joined Stewarts in October 2012.

As a specialist in family law, Jenny has significant experience of public speaking. She has presented at conferences across Europe and the Middle East on complex financial issues, including the treatment of trusts in divorce, the efficacy of international pre-nuptial agreements and other topics.
Experience
Jenny acted in the following reported cases:
- ES v SS [2023] – Jenny acted for the husband in a financial remedies claim (c. £50m+) where the main issues considered by the Court related to valuations of private equity interests and tax risks, as well as departure from equality in the husband’s favour as a result of wealth generated prior to the marriage.
- XW v XH 2017 EWFC 76 (and XW v XH (No.2) (Reporting Restrictions Order) [2018] EWFC 44) acting for the wife who was awarded one of the highest recorded English divorce settlements. In addition the case dealt with issues of special contribution, privacy and whether foreign marital contracts should be treated as pre-nuptial agreements. At the Court of Appeal the wife was successful, exceptionally, in her application for the reporting restrictions order granted in the High Court to be maintained (XW v XH [2019] EWCA Civ 549). Furthermore her lump sum award was increased from £115m to £145m (XW v XH [2019] EWCA Civ 2262).
- Zimina v Zimin [2017] EWCA Civ 1429, [2017] All ER (D) 57 (Oct) (Court of Appeal) acting for the husband who successfully appealed against a Part III award made in favour of his wife. The wife was also ordered to pay the husband’s costs of and incidental to the appeal.
- WW v HW [2015] EWHC 1844 (Fam) acting for the wife. The court gave significant weight to a pre-nuptial agreement even though it did not provide for the husband’s needs. The court took into account the husband’s conduct.
