Partners Joseph Lappin and Charlie Thompson have again been listed as ‘Top Recommended’ lawyers in the employment section of the Spear’s guide to the market’s best advisers for high net worth individuals.
“A good employment lawyer can be an invaluable ally, especially when business relationships threaten to turn sour,” Spear’s guide notes. “The best employment lawyers will be adept at settling matters swiftly and smoothly, avoiding court where possible – but making sure to do what is necessary to secure the best result for their client.”
Joseph and Charlie’s profiles
Head of Employment Joseph Lappin noted to Spear’s that the team “works with clients to achieve both legal and non-legal objectives, so understanding what they want to achieve is paramount.” The index says: “Though well-acquainted with the cut and thrust of employment tribunal and court litigation, Joseph’s ability to resolve disputes and reach effective settlements comes from his ability to see problems from all sides.”
Charlie Thompson is also ‘Top Recommended’ by Spear’s. “Workplace issues are intensely personal, and even the most amicable of exits can be difficult for a client,’ he says. He also employs a collaborative working style: “Because my clients are high-achieving and intelligent, I aim for both of us to leverage the other’s expertise to come up with the best strategies.”
