Maria is a specialist in disputes in relation to both direct and indirect taxes, including the use of alternative dispute resolution and matters of administrative law associated with the actions of HMRC.


Maria has acted for a number of high net worth individuals, motor manufacturers, financial institutions and educational institutions. In addition, at her previous employer a “big four” accountancy firm, she gained international experience working within the VAT team of their Berlin office.


Maria studied law at the University of East Anglia in Norwich and completed her Legal Practice Course in London. She began her career as a paralegal in KPMG’s tax litigation team where she returned to practice as a solicitor for three years following qualification.


Maria enjoys being outdoors particularly by the sea, where she likes to hike and surf.
