Life as a trainee in Knowledge Management and Compliance

Sophie is currently working in the Clinical Negligence department assisting in claims involving brain and spinal-cord injury. Sophie is also involved in the claims of sports professionals who have suffered career-ending injuries.
Sophie has significant experience in the firm’s Personal Injury department where she assisted in the settlement of a number of multimillion pound catastrophic injury claims.
Sophie commenced her training contract with Stewarts in 2019 and is currently in her second seat.
Sophie’s first seat was in the Knowledge Management & Compliance department where she gained experience in the wider operations of the firm, including in relation to funding, regulations and knowledge sharing.
Sophie graduated from the University of the West of England in 2015 with a First Class law degree. Sophie then completed her LPC at the University of Law, Guildford, whilst gaining experience as a paralegal in an employment law firm. Sophie joined Stewarts in September 2016 and commenced her training contact with the firm in October 2019.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys spending time with friends and family, visiting the theatre, reading and Pilates. Sophie has previously spent time travelling in Asia and visits new places as often as possible.
