Stewarts hosted WheelPower’s fourth annual fundraising drinks at its London offices on 15 November.

Those who attended this inspiring charity event heard an impactful speech from new WheelPower Chair, Rob Wilson, on how disability sport can improve the lives of spinal injury rehabilitation patients.

We were lucky enough to be joined by internationally renowned sit-ski Paralympian, Anna Turney, who shared her candid views in a Q&A session with WheelPower’s CEO Martin McElhatton.

Anna Turney commented on how newly paralysed people can get the most out of their new way of living: “You may not consider yourself sporty, but find what it is that works for you and give it a go. Physically, and mentally it works wonders for our health, positive mental attitude and lifestyle.”

Stewarts has worked in partnership with WheelPower for a number years, helping to provide support to those who have been newly paralysed by spinal injury.

Martin McElhatton commented:

“We are ever so grateful to Stewarts for facilitating this fantastic event, and to all our donors who, without your support, we would not be able to help hundreds of thousands of spinal rehabilitation patients each year.”
