Case Managers’ Newsletter
In July we launched our new quarterly newsletter for case managers. We want to maintain contact and provide support during this difficult time and this newsletter will provide guidance and legal updates relevant to case managers in an easy to digest format. In this first edition, we had contributions about making a Lasting Power of Attorney during lockdown, how to apply for Universal Credit after serious injury, and we also hear from psychologist Gaby Parker, on delivering remote psychological assessments.
On 11 August, Pace Rehabilitation, STEPS Rehabilitation and Stewarts jointly hosted an online event exploring the medical and legal journey around elective amputation and the subsequent rehabilitation. This event was aimed at anyone working with amputation and rehabilitation. Please click here to register to view this recording.
On 26 August, we launched our Stewarts Soundbites series with a 15 minute webinar featuring a fantastic presentation by Matt Booth, Founder and Director of Flex Health, a leading provider of specialist musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy. Matt spoke about: How brain injured clients have coped during lock down and how they have managed their individual physiotherapy needs; The virtues of virtual therapy for brain injured clients and whether there is a long term place for virtual physiotherapy; and Whether multi-disciplinary teams can work together on an almost exclusively virtual basis.
