Stewarts has announced the promotion of four new Partners, effective 1 May 2026. The appointments reflect the firm’s continued investment in exceptional talent and its commitment to building market‑leading teams capable of navigating the most complex and high‑stakes disputes. Each promotion recognises not only technical excellence, but the collaborative, innovative and client‑focused approach that underpins the Stewarts proposition.

By strengthening its partnership, Stewarts continues to invest in exceptional talent and capability, ensuring clients benefit from deep specialist expertise, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to resolving the most complex disputes.

The newly promoted Partners and their principal areas of practice are:

  • Jenny Bowden advises on complex private family law matters, including financial disputes, child arrangements and nuptial agreements, often involving trust, business and inherited assets with cross‑border elements. She has particular expertise in acting for professional clients and their families.
  • Trevona Hettiarachchi has a leading practice in complex private children law, advising on highly contentious matters arising from parental separation, including Children Act proceedings, Schedule 1 claims and cross‑border disputes. She also advises on complex financial settlements on divorce.
  • Charlotte Sanders focuses on the resolution of complex financial arrangements on divorce, with many matters involving trusts, corporate structures and jurisdictional issues. She also advises on children matters arising from relationship breakdown.
  • Victoria Williams acts for clients in complex, high‑value medical negligence claims, particularly those involving birth injuries, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. She has experience handling cases with a cross‑border element, including litigation in Europe and the United States.

Speaking about the promotions, managing partner Stuart Dench said:

“These promotions recognise four outstanding lawyers whose expertise, judgement and commitment to clients exemplify the very best of Stewarts. Each has earned the trust of colleagues and clients alike, and I am delighted to welcome them to the partnership as we continue to invest in the strength and depth of the firm.”

Alongside these promotions, the firm has confirmed leadership roles that support its long‑term growth and regional and practice‑area strength: Adrian Clossick has been appointed head of the Leeds office, and Charles Edwards has been appointed head of Personal Injury.
