Stewarts continues to expand its international practice with the hire of Rovine Chandrasekera into the firm’s International Arbitration team.
Rovine joins Stewarts from Stephenson Harwood, where he played a pivotal role in expanding their Middle East practice by establishing and leading their Dubai office. Having lived in the Middle East for several years, Rovine brings a wealth of regional knowledge and connections to the Stewarts team.

Stuart Dench, Managing Partner at Stewarts, comments: “Rovine is an important addition to our fast-developing international arbitration team and his extensive experience, vision and proven track record will be invaluable to our Middle East strategy.”
Sherina Petit, Head of International Arbitration and India Practice, comments: “We are delighted to welcome Rovine to our growing international arbitration team as we continue to expand our geographical focus on the Middle East, Asia (including in particular India and Singapore), Africa and Latin America. Rovine brings stand out expertise in international arbitration and a sharp regional focus on the Middle East – bolstering our ability to deliver strategic, regionally attuned solutions to clients and reinforcing our commitment to this key jurisdiction.
Rovine Chandrasekera comments: “I am very excited to be joining the International Arbitration team at Stewarts. I am really looking forward to working with such a talented team and contributing to the firm’s continued success in the Middle East region.”
