Adam has expertise in securities litigation, derivative actions, contentious insolvency, claims for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty, civil fraud, asset tracing, freezing injunctions and applications for Norwich Pharmacal relief (including as sole advocate).


On an urgent without notice application, the judge noted that Adam’s arguments as sole advocate for the applicants were “ably advanced”.

  • Acting for a minority shareholder in his section 994 petition for unfair prejudice against a private equity house defendant and others, arising out of the restructuring of an e-commerce business
  • Acting for the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary and 131 other Claimants in their claims against Morgan Stanley & Co International and others, arising out of the bank’s failure to redeem certain Hybrid Structured Euro constant maturity swap notes upon the triggering of a mandatory redemption event
  • Acting for the administrator of a foreign bank in a €500m claim against an investment bank for breach of fiduciary duty arising out of market manipulation in respect of complex credit linked note transactions
  • Acting for a property developer in a claim arising out of a joint venture agreement to redevelop a portfolio of hotels
  • Acting on behalf of a hedge fund in its dispute with a major European investment bank in relation to a contractual dispute arising out of Hurricane Sandy and the dissolution of a nationalised bank. The case involved complex questions of jurisdiction culminating in a one-day jurisdiction hearing


After reading a BSc in Mathematics at Imperial College and taking a Masters degree in Management, Economics & International Relations at the University of St Andrews, Adam attended law school at BPP and then trained at Herbert Smith LLP.

Accreditations and Memberships

Adam qualified as a solicitor in April 2010 and as a solicitor advocate (with rights of audience in all civil courts in England & Wales) in March 2014.

He is a member of the Association of Argentinean Professionals in the UK and an associate of the Royal College of Science.
