Stewarts aims to recruit and retain the best people at all levels of the firm.

As the leading litigation-only law firm and one of the fastest growing legal practices in the UK, we frequently have opportunities for lawyers and support staff.

The ability, dedication and technical excellence of our people are critical to the successes we achieve for our clients.

We aim to recruit new staff who share our core values.

Teamwork, innovation, manners and excellence

We encourage our people to strive for excellence in everything they do and deliver the highest possible standard of work at all times. All members of our highly-ranked teams work together to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Also required are good manners and a willingness to help create a positive environment. This includes respecting everyone at every level, both inside and outside the firm.

Progress within the firm

Once recruited, our solicitors and support staff are expected to excel in what they do and will be given the tools to do so. Everyone is capable of making progress within the firm.

One of our partners, Peter Neenan, joined the firm in 2006 as a paralegal and became a partner within nine years. You can read about Peter’s rise from paralegal to partner here.

Our Head of IT, James Mead, joined the firm in 2001 as an IT administrator before promotion to IT Manager in 2006 and then Head of IT in 2013. You can read more about James’ progress within the firm here.

A day in the life of a pro bono paralegal

Have you wondered what an average day looks like for a paralegal in our pro bono team, who assist seriously injured patients and their families at a time when independent legal support is most needed but often hard to find?

30 Years of Litigation Excellence

We are all facing exceptionally challenging times, but would like to recognise our 30th anniversary with this short video of our history and highlights. We take you from the establishment of our first office in Lincoln’s Inn Fields in London to recently leading on the first virtual case to be heard in the Commercial Court.

Our best wishes for the weeks and months ahead.
