Rebecca Smith has been promoted to Legal Director in Aviation.

Our new partners

Katherine Fitter specialises in advising individuals who have sustained life-changing injuries as a result of medical negligence. She has over 10 years’ experience of high value complex cases involving spinal cord and brain injuries, including brain damage sustained at birth. Katherine joined Stewarts in 2013.

Francesca Berry specialises in complex and high-value commercial litigation with a particular focus on banking and financial services disputes, including those involving investment funds. Many of the cases Francesca advises on have a cross-border element, and she has significant experience of multi-party cases and litigation funding.

Karen Hutchinson specialises in commercial dispute resolution. She provides advice on high-value, contentious issues facing organisations and individuals, often with a cross-border element. Karen has particular expertise in complex banking and financial services disputes, with a focus on investment funds, advising clients on diverse issues covering breach of contract, product mis-selling, partnership, valuation and profit share disputes, negligence and civil fraud.

Jenny Duggan is a family lawyer, focussed on finding an emotionally intelligent route through separation and divorce as well as resolving child arrangements and advising on pre and post-nuptial agreements. She has extensive experience in a wide range of high-value cases involving complex financial and trust structures, frequently with international elements. Jenny has been ranked in Chambers High Net Worth and Chambers as an Associate to Watch.

Kara Smith is responsible for the provision of The Legal Service, providing free advice for those affected by serious injury. As Head of Pro Bono, she also works with Onward, the most comprehensive patient support service in the UK. Kara’s expertise lies in catastrophic personal injury claims, predominately brain and spinal injuries.

James Breese specialises in insurance disputes, exclusively acting for policyholders in the UK and internationally. He assists businesses and individuals from various sectors with their claims for indemnity from insurers. James’ clients range from public companies, private equity houses and multinational enterprises to high net worth individuals and directors of companies.
