Richard acts for businesses and senior individuals, and has extensive experience of high-value and complex High Court litigation involving restrictive covenants and team moves. Richard’s work often has an international dimension.
Richard is well placed to undertake detailed and independent investigations in all types of work environments regarding sensitive issues such as sexual harassment/misconduct, bullying, corporate wrongdoing including regulatory/compliance breaches and whistleblowing, and financial misconduct.
Richard also advises on disciplinary and grievance procedures, negotiating departures and settlement agreements, Employment Tribunal litigation on the grounds of unfair dismissal, discrimination, equal pay and whistleblowing, and disputes regarding garden leave and post-termination restrictive covenants.
Richard advises both LLPs and Partners regarding all aspects of the Partnership/LLP relationship specialising in issues regarding the parties’ entitlements under LLP/Partnership Agreements, advising on the legality of expulsions and potential means of legal redress, and Unfair Prejudice Petitions.

Richard runs marathons, climbs Scottish Munros with his daughter, supports Brighton and Hove Albion and is interested in history, literature and art.
